Summary
Pelvic Rock measures the angular rotational range of the sacrum along its local sagittal axis per second.
Details
Pelvic Rock represents the average angular rotational range of the sacrum along its local sagittal axis per second. The sagittal axis is the axis that reaches from the front to the back of the body. This motion can also be described as the superior to the inferior rotation of the pelvis along the frontal plane.
Score
Each clockwise and counterclockwise rotation occurring within each second is recorded and then averaged. This motion is commonly known as “rocking on the saddle.”
This reference value is for sitting.
