Function Summary
- You can now record data onto the TYPE-R and transfer data to the LVS at a later time.
- You no longer need to be connected to a Wi-Fi network continuously.
- It is an excellent alternative if having Wi-Fi and connectivity issues between the TYPE-R and LVS.
Use Case (examples)
- You can record data locally on the LVS and or TYPE-R if the area has a bad Wi-Fi reception.
- You can use the LVS to follow a cyclist on a trail.
- Can be used to record a runner on a track.
How to Use
- First disable the "Live Publish" function on the TYPE-R (Note: You can still use the "Live Publish" option, but imported data will overwrite preexisting data)
- Start the activity on the TYPE-R
- Begin recording on the LVS with the "Live Publish" function disabled (There will be no realtime graph on LVS, but all other functions will operate normally)
- Once the activity is completed, hit "stop recording" on LVS. You can then open the recording from the File menu
- On the TYPE-R select "Pause" and tap "EXPORT DATA" from the screen. (Note: DO NOT SELECT FINISH ACTIVITY)
- Connect the TYPE-R to the same Wi-Fi network the LVS is on, after connecting, you are now ready to send data.
- On the LVS app, tap "Import Data" from the graph area or menu.
- Both LVS and TYPE-R should automatically communicate with one another and begin sending data.
- Below are images of the graph in LVS being the same during Live Publishing.
Note:
- TYPE-R, Ipad, and the Live Publish feature must connect on the same Wi-Fi (network) upon recording.
Limitations
- You can only export data before finishing the activity. You cannot use this function to export data once the event is complete.
- You cannot import multiple takes all at once. Each take must be imported individually.
- Newly imported data will force overwrite existing data.
